On Friday September 20th, to a sold out auditorium, Jack Semple wowed the audience with his amazing talent on the guitar and improv with a blues vibe throughout the entire show. Jack 's velvet-like singing was a tribute to Gordon Lightfoot 's folk songs and lasting legacy. The audience was mesmerized by the nonstop incredible musicality of Jack with his virtuosity on his 12-string, 6-string and electric guitars, and the accompanying musicians on bass guitar and acoustic guitar.
The audience received a special treat when Jack's son joined the group for a number of songs, showing that his musical talent on guitar and vocals rivals his dad's. Jack and the band had the audience clapping, whistling and singing along, and chuckling to his humor.
In partnership with the Pinawa Club, many in the audience enjoyed a beverage and light snack before the show and during intermission, which contributed to the evening's enjoyment!
EMCA's next concert is The Northern Pikes on Friday, October 18 at 7:30 pm at the Pinawa Community Centre, coming to Pinawa with the support of a special grant from the Government of Manitoba.
