A sold out audience greeted Fleetwood Mac tribute band Dreams and Rumours on May 8th for EMCA’s final show of the season.

Fronted by singers Christy Nevue (Stevie Nicks), Tammy Szozda (Christine McVie) and singer/guitarist Derek Robertson (Lindsay Buckingham) the group performed crowd-pleasing favourites from the Fleetwood Mac catalogue, capturing the powerful solo vocals and soaring three part harmonies of the iconic band. The three singers admirably stepped into the roles of the original artists in standout performances of Landslide, Rhiannon and Go Your Own Way. A vocal performer since the age of 5, Neveu has a remarkable range and effortless delivery that is very much like the soulful style of Stevie Nicks.

Backing musicians Alec Friesan (drums), Rex Guetre (bass) and Dave Choquette (guitar) skillfully recreated the distinctive Fleetwood Mac sound, finding the subtlety and complexity inherent in the music. Choquette, when let off leash, dazzled with his guitar prowess taking extended solos in several songs and delighting the crowd during Don’t Stop where he ran through the audience while firing off his guitar pyrotechnics.

Hats off to these veteran, Winnipeg based musicians for applying their collective skill and experience to create a definitive, highly entertaining tribute.

Dreams and Rumours will be performing Saturday, July 25th at the Lac du Bonnet Fire and Water Music Festival.

The post about concert review captured the energy and spirit of the performance very well. It is always enjoyable to read about live music experiences and how audiences respond. While working on a music appreciation assignment, I came across Pay Someone To Take My Online Class discussions when looking for study-related information. Great performances often leave a lasting impression on listeners. Nice post.
