Time to get excited for another season of amazing EMCA shows!

Although EMCA's 53rd season won't kick off until October, it's not too early to check out the exciting line-up for this season and purchase your season subscription.

The season kicks off with a "Boss" performance by Glory Days, a six-piece tribute band that will bring their Bruce Springsteen tribute show to Pinawa on Friday, October 2. This concert promises energy, passion, and the unmistakable sound that is sure to delight longtime fans as well as those new to the music of Bruce Springsteen. Don't miss your chance to hear chart-toppers like "Born to Run", "Dancing in the Dark", and "The River"!

On Friday, November 6, The Stanley County Cut-Ups come to Pinawa to showcase the bright, driving spirit of classic bluegrass with their tight harmonies, nimble banjo, mandolin, and fiddle work, and the confidence of seasoned Prairie performers. With decades of collective experience, this group offers a heartfelt, high-energy sound rooted in bluegrass tradition. This five-piece, Winnipeg-based band blends traditional favourites with fresh original songs, guaranteed to get your toes a-tapping!

If the artists on Friday, December 11 look familiar to you, you've got a great memory: it's THOSE GUYS with their Christmas-themed show, Under the Mistletoe. This nine member a cappella group from Winnipeg is known for their rich harmonies, clever arrangements, and crowd-pleasing humour. With just their voices and a beatbox they transform pop, rock, jazz, and original songs into polished, high-energy performances. This seasonal show blends festive classics and original arrangements with the group’s signature warmth and wit. Those Guys deliver pure vocal talent and stage presence that will leave the crowd buzzing long after the last note. Be sure to bring your singing voices!

Laila Biali will come to Pinawa on Friday, January 22 to help us ring in the new year with her show: Joni Mitchell & The Canadian Songbook Reimagined. This Juno Award winner and Grammy nominee promises to deliver a memorable concert experience filled with dynamic covers of our country's musical icons. Audiences will be treated to fresh takes on a range of artists including Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, k.d.lang, Bruce Cockburn, and Sarah McLachlan with the music of Joni Mitchell at the heart of this concert. Laila’s unique ability to "masterfully mix jazz and pop” and interweave playful anecdotes and heartwarming stories will make her unforgettable. Sit back and enjoy Laila’s irresistible energy and genuine warmth on a cold winter night!

On Friday, February 19, Duo Cordelia brings a unique and moving performance to the Pinawa stage. Violinist Vanessa Marcoux and pianist Marie-Christine Poirier invite you into an unexpected musical landscape where classical compositions mingle with an innovative repertoire, playful improvisation, and unconventional technique. You will enjoy hearing about each piece with thoughtful, often humorous descriptions. EMCA is pleased to welcome these absolutely stellar musicians, who present a fresh and powerful concert that bridges between musical worlds. This is not a show to be missed!

Get ready for a unique experience—an unforgettable night with two performers! On Friday, March 19, comedian Matt Falk will entertain the crowd with his fresh, insightful, and family-friendly humor. The evening will begin with the soulful folk music of the Lachelle Reanne Band. Be sure to catch this remarkable evening of music and comedy featuring two of Manitoba’s top talents.

If you're feeling Under Pressure, you will definitely want to catch EMCA's Friday, April 9 show featuring internationally acclaimed performer, Terry Barber with his show Mercury: The Concert Celebration of Queen's Front Man. More than just a concert, this is a show about a man who taught generations how to rock! Relive the hits that made Freddie Mercury famous and discover the legend through stories from his life. Barber’s incredible vocal range and subtle nuances are enhanced by his witty rapport with his audiences and solidify him as a performer in a class of his own. This concert will “ROCK YOU”!

They're back! The Sultans of String return to Pinawa on Saturday, May 8 with their unique blend of global music. Thrilling audiences with their genre-hopping passport of Celtic reels, flamenco, Django-jazz, Arabic, and Cuban rhythms, this group celebrates musical fusion and human creativity with warmth and virtuosity. The Sultans tell poignant stories of beauty and hope, highlighting the threads of our common humanity. Throughout, acoustic strings meet with electronic wizardry to create layers and depth of sound. Led by Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient Chris McKool, the group has received seven Canadian Folk Music awards. Enjoy this encore performance that will bring you to your feet!
