Music Awards
The Eastern Manitoba Concert Association is proud to offer two awards to support students who are wanting to pursue post-secondary education in a musical field. Students from the following schools/school divisions are eligible:

Post-Secondary Music Award Application deadline is May 1 2025 One award of $750 is presented annually to a qualified, graduating student from the School District of Whiteshell or the Sunrise School Division, to assist in their pursuit of a post-secondary education in a musical field. Application instructions: 1. Audition Applicants for the Post-Secondary Music Award must perform an Audition, either singing or playing a musical instrument. Record the performance and upload the file to an online streaming service (YouTube, SoundCloud, DropBox, Google Drive, etc). 2. Application Letter The applicant must write an Application Letter describing their musical background, musical training, relevant awards received, post-secondary music school accepted by/applied to, the use of their talent within the community, and any other information in support of the application. 3. Letter of Reference The applicant should also provide a Letter of Reference from their music teacher. 4. Letter of Acceptance The applicant must provide a copy of the letter of acceptance to their chosen post-secondary school before final awarding of prize. 5. Application Form The applicant must fill in the application form to apply for the EMCA scholarship. International Music Camp Bursaries Application deadline is May 1, 2024 One award of $750 is awarded annually to assist a Junior or Senior High School students from the School District of Whiteshell or the Sunrise School Division in attending the International Music Camp at the Manitoba/North Dakota Peace Gardens for a one-week session. Application instructions: 1. Audition No audition required for the International Music Camp Bursary. 2. Application Letter The Applicant must write an application letter describing their musical background, musical training, relevant awards received, the use of their talent within the community, and any other information in support of the application. 3. Letter of Reference The applicant must also provide a letter of reference from their music teacher which can be emailed to EMCA. 4. Application Form The applicant must fill in the application form to apply for the EMCA scholarship. Please email the application letter, letter of reference and application form to emcaconcerts@gmail.com by May 1, 2025.
