About The Event
This unique four piece Canadiana Folk band features the whimsical songwriting and distinctive vocals of Keri Latimer. She delivers tales of voyage, growth, love, loss and painful WW-II internment of her Japanese ancestors. Excellence on guitar, bass, drums and backing vocals pull it all together into disarmingly sweet but meaningful songs. Her mastery of the eerily haunting theremin (played without touching) adds an uncommon air of mystery. Leaf Rapids has toured successfully through Canada, the U.S., U.K., Germany and the Netherlands.
